Marking Therapy offers counselling and therapy, couples counselling, hypnotherapy, clinical supervision and civil, commercial and community mediation for adults in South Shields and South Tyneside. Clients also travel from Sunderland, Gateshead, Newcastle and the wider North East. Every service is also available online and by telephone across the United Kingdom.

Where sessions happen
- The room, the full address and directions are emailed once you book, so nothing about the venue is published here.
- The company’s registered address on Stanhope Road is a correspondence address only. It is not a consulting venue, and visitors are not received there.
- The Metro and bus interchange in the town centre is a short walk from the venues.
- Buses run from across South Tyneside, Sunderland and Newcastle, and there is public parking around the town centre.

Every booking comes with a confirmation email; the video link is in it, and for a session in person the venue and its address follow by email 48 hours before the session starts.
Services and fees
- Individual counselling and therapy, in person, online or by telephone: 45 minutes, from £80.
- Walk and talk therapy outdoors, within 10 miles of South Shields: 45 minutes, £100. How walk and talk works.
- Couples counselling, in person or online: one hour, £100. How couples counselling works.
- Hypnotherapy, in person or online: 45 minutes, £100 by video or £120 in person.
- Clinical supervision for counsellors, online: 45, 60 or 90 minutes, from £55.
- Civil, commercial and community mediation, arranged by enquiry, with fixed fees for disputes under £50,000 and a quote for other matters.
